Itsy Bitsy Spider and Spooktacular Halloween Bloomers

Don't let these fellas scare you!  They are more into treating than tricking!

Check our shop for the Itsy Bitsy Spider Tutorial.  It is an Add-on to our Easy Peasy Rumba Ruffle Diaper Cover. "And what's an Add-on?" you might ask? It is a tutorial for turning our Easy Peasy Rumba Ruffle Diaper cover into this scary Halloween version. You'll need to purchase the Easy Peasy Rumble Ruffle Diaper Cover from our shop, and purchase this tutorial which gives directions for the turning it into this Halloween version. With the two, you'll have all the patterns and instructions you need to create the Halloween ruffled bloomers (complete with the Itsy Bitsy Be-ribboned Spider and the Boo! applique), a spider headband, and leg-warmers made from purchased knee-socks. The tutorial has 17 pages of instructions and 79 detailed photos so you can't possibly fail!

Using the same instructions given in the Spider tutorial (minus the spider legs, of course!), you can create this Spooktacular pair of Ghost bloomers! For the ghost face, cut three small ovals from black felt (make the mouth slightly larger than the eyes) and stitch them to the ribbon pouf.

Rumba Ruffle Diaper Cover Pattern

Some may say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but I say ruffles are a girl's best friend!  And what better place to put a passle of ruffles than on your little angel's butt!
These rumba ruffles are the greatest!! The ruffles are made from pre-made bias tape so there is no hemming needed. Even the fabric flower gracing the back of the bloomers is made from bias tape so it's also quick and easy. And goodness knows there is nothing cuter than a ruffled baby butt!
This rumba ruffled diaper cover is designed with a front and back rise seam for superior fit and is full-fitting so there is plenty of diaper room. The pattern contains sizes six sizes: 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months. The tutorial contains 25 pages of instructions and 101 photos. I know it's hard to believe that a tutorial for a diaper cover could be THAT in-depth, but I wanted to make it so easy that even someone new to sewing would have success. The tutorial is written with the assumption that you have no seamer, so all you need is a basic home-sewing machine.
AND, this pattern includes instructions for making a matching headband. Imagine what beautiful portraits you can make of your little angel wearing her rumba ruffle bloomers and matching headband!

Gotta Love Diaper Covers!

Disposable diapers were a great invention, but they're not the most attractive things in the world. So why not cover them with a cute diaper cover made by your own loving hands? And, it just so happens we have several patterns from which you can choose.

The first is our basic Easy Peasy Diaper Cover pattern. It's great for boys and girls. It's designed with rise seams for a great fit, and has no side seams. Doesn't it just scream, "Decorate me!!"?

And believe when I say it's easy. The tutorial has 13 page of instructions and 41 photos to guide you through step by step. Here's what customers have said about it:

     *  This is a very easy pattern to use. I was amazed. I previously was terrified to try to make a diaper cover. Thanks.

     *  Exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you so much!

     *  Great tutorial. Fast pattern delivery & very helpful with any questions I had.

     *  Super fast response, and LOVED the pattern!

So what are you waiting for?  Doesn't your little angel need a whole wardrobe of diaper covers?  Check our Etsy shop link to the right to purchase the pattern.  ONLY $4.50!

Change is Good

Yes, m'am. I admit it. Here at Peach Tea Couture we are changing our focus. You see, I dearly LOVE sewing--I just don't love sewing exactly the same thing TWICE. Before I finish one garment, my mind has already designed the next two. And, I've realized there's an old flame burning in my heart and it just won't be extinguished. That flame has burned inside me since I was six years old. "What old flame is that?" you may ask. It's my love of patternmaking. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE making patterns. So much so my major at college (good ol' University of Alabama) was Clothing and Textile Design. So I've decided to add downloadable PDF patterns to our lineup at PTC. We'll still carry our hand-painted onesies, but we'll be adding LOTS of children's sewing patterns.

Pirate Skull Onesie and Leg Warmer Set

"I'm a dishonest man. Honestly. It's the honest ones you have to watch out for." Captain Jack Sparrow

I'm a huge "Pirates of the Caribbean" fan, so of course I had to do a pirate onesie! This pirate skull is hand-painted on a 100% cotton onesie and is personalized FREE! And to make the outfit even more "pirate-like" we've included a pair of sewn gray/black striped leg warmers. If you'd like to add a diaper cover, be sure to purchase our "Pick your favorite fabric" bloomer/diaper cover listing. I don't have many solids listed, but I can get just about any solid you want. I think a black, gray, or red diaper cover would make this a perfect birthday outfit for a pirate-themed party. View it at http://www.etsy.com/listing/46472795/pirate-skull-onesie-and-leg-warmer-set

Football Onesie and Madras Diaper Cover Set

I know it's not football season yet, but this vintage-inspired football onesie and madras patchwork plaid diaper cover has turned out to be our best-seller!! Here's what one customer said about it:
"love, love, love this little outfit! the painting on the onesie is unique and beautiful.....i love the madras print diaper cover! we took our lil man's 9 month pictures this morning using this outfit....I'll post pics later!"
The football and monogram are hand-painted and believe me, it will hold up through machine washings and dryings. And the madras patchwork is REAL PATCHWORK! Not one of those cheap prints meant to look like patchwork. I just know your little future football player will love it! INTRODUCING: Peach Tea Couture

Hi, y’all and welcome to Peach Tea Couture! A little slice of heaven right here on the web. Everything here is very stylish—very Southern. So come on in, browse the shop, and sit a spell. Look to the right of the screen and you'll see our Etsy shop. Click on it to go directly to the shop.

Now, about me. My mama always told me that if I forgot to properly introduce myself people would think I was born in a barn. And, being Southern, I definitely wanna make my mama proud!! So here’s a bit about me. I was born and raised in LA (lower Alabama!) and am a proud graduate of THE University of Alabama. (That’s a good-natured poke at all you Auburn fans. Actually, I don’t dislike Auburn. My own sister went there—God bless her little heart.) Though I have lived most of my life in the South, I’m proud to say I survived 18 months in Maine. Now don’t get me wrong. I love Maine—May through October. But I can completely do without the winter! 145” of snow that winter!! Good grief, y’all -- I’m from the Gulf Coast of Alabama! The only white stuff I think should be on the ground is that sugar white sand of Gulf Shores or the cotton that falls off the trucks on their way to the gin during cotton picking season. Nowadays, I reside in good ol’southern Georgia. Peach country! And I do love peaches! Yes, m’am, I do!

I LOVE to create and sew! Sometimes I make my own patterns; sometimes I see a modern-day design I like; but mostly I adore sewing from vintage patterns. My husband is the painter in the family--so all of the hand-painted designs were created by his loving hands! You can view our shop at www.peachteacouture.etsy.com

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the visit! Ya’ll come back now! (And for my Northern friends, I’ll say, “You guys come back real soon!”)
